It’s not even out on PS3 yet, but just as LittleBigPlanet came out on PSP, Modnation Racers, Sony’s Mad Kart Kreatathon (Copyright of Me), which we covered a beta of, is coming to PSP, as can be seen in the trailer above.

Taking most of the feature set that is heading to the big console version, the PSP will have the creation and kart racing features covered, as well as online sharing of tracks. The game is also set to support 6 player multiplayer modes, in both ad-hoc and online settings.

All we know is what we’ve seen in the trailer and from the style of the PS3 game, which it is set to release alongside, sometime this year.

It was impossible not to draw parallels to LBP following ModNation racers unvieling of it’s three concepts: “Race, Create, Share”, very similar to LBP’s “Play, Create, Share”. The fact they are both Sony IP’s just made it feel like this was going to be a kart racing rip off. So when I got chance to particpate in a closed beta, I now have a better idea of where Modnation Racers is going.
